Nowadays some people think that surveillance cameras should be put in public areas, like schools, stores, libraries, airports, some individuals feel more secure with the cameras, while other people feel nervous about the idea of someone watching them every time they are out in public. To begin with, CCTV cameras provide public safety. Cameras keep you and your personal property safe. The police can prevent crimes from happening and can quickly solve criminal cases. Cameras protect against theft and vandalism. On the other hand, s ome people may say that we should not have surveillance cameras in public places. T hey said that they invade privacy. When you are walking down the street, driving in your car, you will be monitored with cameras placed in public. To my mind, I guess that we should have surveillance cameras in public places because they ensure public safety. To sum up, in a modern time CCTV cameras can be really helpful. We live in a constant threat of attack.
