An amazing Rescue

One example of an amazing rescue: Early in the morning on August 23, 2005 Katrina hurricane struck the Golf Coast of the United States. The storm itself did a great deal of damage, but its aftermath was catastrophic.
Levee breaches led to massive flooding, Hundreds of thousands people in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama were displaced from their homes.

As the waters rose, people were begging for help on roofs, and neighbourhoods were suffering from looting and violence. Emergency services struggled to cope.
After 43 days, army engineers pumped the last of the flood water out of the city. Almost 1,500 people had lost their lives because of hurricane Katrina in New Orleans alone.
This days, New Orleans is making recovery.

Natural disasters are really scary!
Also, there are people who risks.
For example: when a volcano erupts, most people want to get as far away as possible, as quickly they can! But Martin Rietze, on the other hand, grabs his camera and tries to get as close as he can and stay alive at the same time.
Martin is freelance photographer whose stunning photographs of volcanic eruptions are in high demand.

For people would be very useful to be able not only to predict natural disasters, but also to prevent them.
